As the UI designer for the Online Service Government Premier tool, I was part of a team led by Oomph Inc. to help Revenue Solutions Inc. (RSI) modernize tax-collection software. Typically, government platforms can be difficult to use, but our goal was to change that. We focused on creating a cloud-based solution that wasn’t just functional for government employees but also easy to navigate for everyday users, like taxpayers trying to get things done quickly and without frustration.
Financial tools often break down complex information into easily digestible sections, using a minimalist aesthetic and clear visual hierarchy. We applied these principles to ensure users could quickly understand and navigate the interface, whether they’re managing tax data or completing everyday tasks.
